hi i noticed latley that my 250x is like nocking alittle like it need a new valve ajustment or something like that well i i looked at the valves and there right where they should be i think about 7 thousandths out! AS YALL KNOW I HAVE ALOT OF MODS and i just put the engine back together b/c my head gasket was leaking and the thing rubs great it didnt start making the sound until about 2 weeks b/f i changed the head gasket so i didnt do anything wrong with puting it back together!!
my point is i ran the cheeper gas in it for the first time i forgot to put the octain buster in there and my friend got the gas and it was the 87 i always run the super 93 in my bike of course with the octain buster i was wondering if this is the problem??? I run a straing 40wt oil in the bike like i said it's a sound like when you need a valve ajustment but thats not the case so mabe its the gas i have no idea
please help

Sounds like you've upped yer compression a little bit. Use the 93 and it should quit. If not you've got other issues.
On most stock vehicles, unless the manufacturer specifically calles for the 93 octane, you're just as well off using the lowest octane you can.
There is no more detergent additives in the 93 vs the 87.
