i bored my 300ex 80 over with a 11 : 1 wiseco piston . will it run hot? can i put a oil cooler. and also can i can a curtis sparks muffler for it. and sorry one more thing what cam should i use and where to get it?

 

It will run a little hotter than stock, but by using the oil cooler you should be fine.
As far as a cam, Hot Cams are the best in my opinion, the can be purchased at rocky mountain, dennis kirk, etc, the price for the cam is about $150.00.
You did not mention the exhaust, but with the piston and cam you will need a quality full exhaust and re-jet on the carb.
After doing the modifications dont forget to put a quality clutch in the 4-wheel, because the stocker wont last long.

but i cant find that either for it. the carb was already rejetted. and have the k&n.and he head is bieng ported. what esle should i do?

ya dont waist your $ on it ( i learned my lesson) my 250x is the fastest iv ever seen but its still not what i want it to be!!! thats why im selling mine and getting a 250r or a z400 havent decided yet!! my 250x is running with the 400's right now i have everything on it and alot of money into it Im just warning you before you mess up!!!!! look at my profile and you will see my mods i race mx and it does great i just want something longer and more extended for me!! and something with more power right now my 250x is running like 66 something like that and thats with all my modds!! im right beside the stock 400ex trust me its not worth it!!!!!! you will get tired of it very soon!!!!

i think he means mph. im not sure if the sparks muffler will fit other head pipes, itd be better to jus sell what u have and put that towards a full sparks system. u should look into engine scoops, maybe on ebay. people use them on blasters,400ex's, pretty much anything air cooled. as long as it is jetted right it should runt too hot.

 

Ok that sounds a little more feasible.

oh and once more sell the bike and get you a 250r haha thats what im doing a fully redone r race ready!! im so excited but i hope there not alot of mainenence like everyone says they are mabe after a year or something like that then can start looking into that kinda stuff but nothing wrong with the engine!! mabe a poston then i dont care about that!!! haha !! im so happy hope its not for nothing!!!
