Default '01 400EX Carb / Fuel lines... Where does it go?

Hey all,

I have an '01 400EX... It was leaking fuel and i notice the small tube comming from the bottom of the float bowl on the bottom of the carb was just hanging...

Where is it suppose to be hooked up to? I looked on my Z400, and that tube runs into a nipple on the Swing arm (Not sure what that's all about) But any case... I don't see a nipple on the 400ex for it to plug into to....

So where does it go?

Thanks,

-ThaChad

It's not supposed to connect to anything, just a drain or vent hose for the carb.

Any idea why fuel would be flowing out that hose? I had to turn the fuel "Off" to stop fuel from just draining out of that hose....

it leaks because its suposed to if it didnt your float bowl would overflow reulting in way too much gas getting sucked into your cyl....and blowing up your engine....if it leaks all the time its time for a carb overhaul ....it probably has a bad needle in the carb ....leakin while doing wheelies ....let it leak if the bike runs good when the front end is not in the air ....its designed as a safety DONT mess with it....
