is it true that if i put a cam from a 250 big red in my 94 300 4x4 it will really wake it up and give it more power with out effecting its great reliablity

 

use a 88-89 300 cam it has more lift [.0625]then the 90and up cam

 

what would be a more beneficial performance mod the old 300 cam or the big red cam??

 

does anyone have any experience

 

just get a web cam grind 102 it's a drop in and will give more then any of the stock cams

im sure that is one of the best aftermarket cams but its also pretty expensive i reckon im looking to get a big red cam for like 30-40 bucks on ebay and im just trying to find out what kind of performance gains i will get with the big red cam and if it really is worth my time and $ to buy it

 

I did put an '88 cam in my '93 300. It made a noticable difference. The '88 cam has something like 1mm more lift. I did this about 10 years ago, when there were no aftermarket cams available.

It would be a great mod if you can get one at a decent price.
