Hey, I was looking at a 1987 Honda 250X that has new plastic, new tires, new DG pipe, and the guy is selling it for $1800. What do you guys think? Is it worth it?

 

That's about what they go for out here if they run good.

 

Watch out third gear is notorious for going !See if it had the shift forks replaced !Only on the 87 model !No kidding make sure

 

i just bought a 1991 for 1,000.

With a bunch of extra stuff, plastic ok(melted in back slightly and the front has a split in it), but everything else is good, needs some brake and clutch levers.

A ton of 300ex parts. Motor smokes just slightly when you start it up.

I have it for sale at 1,600....

 

i just sold my 87 250x for $1800 i just had the top end completly rebuilt. you can check out my site for pics of the bike. also chcek the rear bearings, steering stem bearings, front hub bearings. also listen foe and loud tapping in the motor. check that the air filter is properly cleaned. and the 3 rd gear thing is true but it never happened on my bike. good luck
