Default 06 Rincon

Just dreaming here guys, but I HOPE the new Rinny is gonna axe the 3-speed and toss in a beefed up Rubicon tranny in it to go with the 700cc. If this happens, I'm sure this will be on my lift for next year's buys (to go with an 800 Outlander). This is without a doubt the hot ticket as far as I'm concerned. I'd even g as far to dream for a front locker, but I know that won't happen...

Anyone else want to put a wish list in here for the upcoming Rinny?

We're all dreaming along wih you AceSchwetz, i cant wait for the dealer show in about, what is it, 20 days or so. UGH the wait is killing me. Just to "MAKE SURE" that Honda was changing the Rincon i went to my Honda dealer and played stupid. I asked the guy at the front desk if the Honda Rincon is going to be any different for 2006? He said "I dont think so, Hold on ill go check". He was gone for about 8 minutes, and he came back out and said these exact words. "Wow, thats funny, i have every single price for every single Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Seadoo that we carry, '05 and '06s, Motorcycles, ATV's, Dirtbikes, and Jetskis, but out of ALL of that, the only thing i couldnt find was information about the 2006 Rincon." He also said that "when they do not let the dealers know about something, it means something big is being changed"

stupid ? time...hence the word "rookie" at the end of my posts...

If Honda did give the '06 Rincon the Rubicon's tran then thet would solve the engine braking, right? So IF they did that, raised it a few cc's, put a front diff locker would most then be happy? What about disc brakes?

I'll buy one if the engine braking is good and it doesn't weigh too much. I want buy it until the fall of 06 though.

Yeah the disk brakes are probably a given for 06. I expect that will be it, as long as the tranny is changed and there is more rack capacity to keep up with the competition. I see no reason why a quad can't be sporty and able to do some heavy work as well, like the Bomb 800 and Polaris 800.

The dealer order forms have a 2006 TRX650CG. Nobody can seem to figure out what the "C" means. There is also a TRX650FA listed which is the same designation as that of the 2005 model. Any thoughts??? I sure wish I knew what the "C" meant.

I think it would be my dream machine if it had an old fasion 5 speed tranny in it, I think that would be the best way to get all the power out of the motor and it would set Honda way apart from any other big bore that has rubber band trannys.

I heard something about a side by side so the "c" might mean cargo or something and the "g" probably stands for their GPScape, I guess we will all find out soon enough.

So we're getting another 650? What does the C mean in other models in the lineup?
