Default Big enough strong enough?

Im tired of smoking belts on my 700efi sp.What does everyone think of the rubicon for work, play and hunting? Is the power good 500cc seems little! I need a straight axle for pulling a trailer around the house or moving the boat out of the way Independent susp. squats to much! Thanks for the input!!

I`ve got a 04 and its great beside the drum brakes in the rear and full time 4x4.But other then that is great.Theres no stoping mine when it comes to work.My father used it last winter for haul wood and he could put enough on the sleds to load his 94 f150 a foot over then roof and pull it in drive at 40mph. And for hunting if your hauling for game on the rack the susp. does squat that much but it does wheelie easyer.

If you choose the rubi get a 05 with traxlock or and 04-older one with an unlocker so its better for just drive along.

The difference in power will hardly be noticed when towing...especially since yur SP isnt very powerfull when teh belt is smoked. You will notice teh difference if your into high speed riding.

Other than that its a great machine, decent power, good front disc brakes now, and the best work/play tranny out there with great engine breaking and low range.

Seeing as you live in Maryland, do you have access to some Canadian dealerships? If so, definitely go and check out a CTE Rubicon (Canadian Trail Edition). You'll have all the features and hard workhorse stature of the Rubicon, but it will also be more fun when you get the work done. Supposedly they reworked the suspension for the CTE Rubi so that it rides and handles like a dream. Though the regular Rubicon suspension's pretty good itself, I've also heard they messed with the ignition mapping so that it's more snappy on the power and just more fun in general.

I just got an 05 rubicon and it's got all the power I need, Fully auto or electronc shift, Liquid cooled, in and out 4 wheel drive, granny low, and no belt... I have only had it for 3 months but so far it's cool.. Needs a lift kit though..
