I have been searching far and wide, high and low, and I can not find a good replacement muffler for my father in laws 1995 TRX 200 Type II. It is nothing but a rusted out can now and is very loud. He recently bought a 2005 Recon 250 to replace it, but the little 200 wont roll over and die. It has 11 inch tires in the rear so a stock diameter muffler is a must. Quiet is good as its used on a farm. Thanks for any insight or advice as to where to look.

Stock one from bikebandit is pricey at 384, that is the only one I've seen. Ebay has a used one occasionaly but it may be rusted out also. Might try an atv speciality shop. they may be able to cobble something up at a reasonable price.

 

I think that with some simple metals, flat steel, small tubing, and a larger pipe for the can, that I could make one that will at least quiet it down some. I will just pack it with the stuff they sell for performance mufflers. hmmmm....

 

I would try calling one of the exhuast manufactures like hmf and see if they have one or can make one.
