Default 03 400 ex electrical problem NEED ADVICE PLZ!

i launched into a ditch this weekend while i was out in the desert, iam alright (quite lucky actuly) but i broke the clip on the top of my headlight asembly, the front plastics got a little tore back and i bent the handel bars down so that it rode like a street bike ( from holding on during the impact lol). Well i bent the bars back into a rideable position when we got back to camp with a couple of tiedowns and some upper body strenth and we rode the rest of the day. That night we went on a night ride and after a solid jolt my hedlights went out. We stoped and the electrical was out so i replaced the fuse and when i turned it back on the fuse poped again, so we bumped it and i followed back to camp with out lights now every time i put a fuse in it it pops and the lights will not work even after bump plz give any advice no time or cash right now topay some one to fix it thanx

that hapened to me u probly need a new light harnes. what hapens to alot of 400ex's is the lights rup on a brake line holder and rip the wires apart and then blow fuses win u try to turn the lights on. u will need to bend the bracket back.

that could be the problum

Unplug the head lights, from the main harness. Under the front plastic there is 2 plugs, One goes to the key the other to the lights. If it still blows the fuse, with that plug un plugged, it is in the harness. If that stops the fuse from blowing unplug the bulbs from the wiring and see if it is a bulb. Also look for any bare wires while under there.
