My 400 won't start. WHY????

Pull the air box lid. Similar thing happened to me. It wouldn't start, I checked the airbox and the air filter had fallen off and flipped around. The rubber end of the filter was blocking the intake. The motor would fire off once in a while, but not run at all.

Well, I got the new plugs. I put the plug in and guess what, absolutely nothing. It still won't start up. I am getting really mad. I am just taking it to the dealer because I can't figure out what it is. Thanks for all the help.

Brad400ex: It seems you are a little behind in this post. I already stated that I had gotten the new plugs, but they did not work. The only reason I said I was going to check Pep Boys was because the nearest dealer is about 30 minutes away and Pep Boys is about 5 minutes away. Thanks. And I do know how to tighten a screw.

Try cleaning the coil. This is of the left side of the quad as you sit on it. Up against the frame under the gas tank. Take it off clean all connections, put it back on with some dielectric grease on all the connections. Same thing happened to my quad. I'll bet that's the problem.
