I just got a used 400EX and I noticed when I push it accross my garage it wobles from side to side. Is this normal? Any suggestions on how I can check for bent frame?

 

I don't know what to tell you. It's definetly not normal. Maybe a bent axle, bad bearings, etc. Not sure. Maybe someone else can help diagnose the problem.

 

where does it woble, front, rear? have been jumping it?

 

I cant tell, It probably sways about an inch from left to right if I am standing behind it.

 

First check wheel nuts are tight & see that tire air pressure is same or equal front then rear.Then Try putting machine on stand... maybe make astand out of milk crate place it under the motor beneath the frame so both frt.& rr wheels are off the floor grab rr.wheel check for loose/bad hub,check for bad axle bearings by grabbing &pulling should not be much movement,spin all wheels/tires to see if wheel{s} are bent,check frt. bearings by seeing if there is any vertical in-out movement in them.If all else fails{ with wheel straight forward} put machine back on floor measure frt.hub to rr. hub both sides should be equal within 1/4 inch if they not could be bent frame...Good Luck
