Has anyone rode/raced using a UNI airfilter without an airbox lid?
Currently, I have 8-1 inch holes in my airbox lid with foam vents too prevent water and dust from entering. I would like too remove the vents and run with just the holes. But I am concered that the filter will not be able too stop all of the dirt and water from entering the carb.
Has anyone raced HareScramble/Cross Country without an airbox lid?

 

I am running a uni filter with the airbox lid off and have not had any trouble with filter not catching dirt or dust, just keep it clean and oiled.

 

I've saw a UNI filter hooked directly to the carb.Just reclean and oil after every ride.
