I am installing a TC330 kit on my EX as we speak. My engine builder(TC Racing)told me that it was not nessesary too install an oil cooler with this kit, as long as I run a heavy weight synthetic oil. But I am still alittle worried. What are you doing with your built engines?

well i think if you ran a heavy weight oil you would be ok, but i think it would help alot if you put a oil cool on it also

330 is the largest you can go without modifying the crank. A properly build 330 engine will put 35HP at the rear wheels(stock is 17). For my racing needs(MX and XC), it should do nicely.
From what I have seen, playing with the crank(stroking), is like playing with fire.

i just wondered. You seemed really happy with the power you had now.

More is always better.

What is the cost of a complete 330? I'm still looking for motor mods.. lol

Parts start at about $1000. Plus the cost of a pipe and labor too have it installed(unless you can do it yourself).

I did like the power I had before. But I was going too rebuild the top end this winter anyway. I just decided too buy alittle bigger piston and a larger sleeve.

my 330 kit was only 400 dollars, but i did the work myself though. As for cooling, mine runs just a little hotter than it did when it was stock. I use semi-synthetic 4-stoke oil and it works great, just dont use regular automotive oil. I dont like 100% synthetic oil at all, it just does,nt stay on anything in your engine if you have stored it for a while, making cold starts even worse. my 330 dyno'd yesterday at 29.28 hp, i hope with a little more tuning i can get it up a little higher, but 29 is fine for now, Good luck with yours

by the way do you send your whole engine to T.C. Racing? I was just wondering how long it took them to do the engine work?

A complete 330 motor cost more than $400 dollars.

piston/sleeve - $295
camshaft - $150
valve springs - $ 90
carb - $175
head work - $200
CDI - $ 90
pipe of your choice - ???
(all dollar estimates vary between different engine builders)

Mine will dyno right around 35rwHP when it is finished.

I bought all of the parts from TC and installed most of them myself. My dealer did the boring and pressed the sleeve in for me.

powroll 330 kit is like 295

without cam, and valve springs.

They told me no head work was needed. Just install the sleeve and piston.
