Default 300ex coming out of second

Anyone ever have a problem with their bike when you shift from first to second it pops out of second and into neutral. Mine will pull for a moment in second and then pop into neutral it did it 4 times the other night.

I had a problem with my ds doing that. After talking to a few mechanics I found out it was a bent shift fork. Not sure if this is the cause in your case. Has anyone ridden the bike and put a lot of pressure down on the shifter? Just a thought. Hope you figure it out.

How weird is that. Mine did that exact thing when I first got it and now it fixed itself. (bought it new, musta been some weird break-in quirk.) How many hours you got on it?

I might have 60 or 70 hours it's pretty new still it's an 2005 and I got it about a year ago. Its good to know someone else has experienced this. I hope mine will quit doing it.

I donno about that. Yours is still pretty new. I have about 30 hrs on mine and It's no longer doing it. Was your 300 doing it and now it's worse or did it just start? (if it just started I'd venture to say you broke something that probably has a long name and costs alot of money)
