Default '86 Honda TRX250
I have an old TRX250 that needs a new clutch
I found and clutch assembly from a '91 model, is it possible/how hard would it be to put the '91 clutch assembly in the '86 bike?

I don't know if a 91' clutch would work or not. But have you checked out rockymountainmc.com or Dennis Kirk? They should have what you need.

an 86 trx250r? they didnt make a '91 model of that bike, so i think you may want to make some calls.

are you sure?...

hrmmm.... the guy on ebay was selling one as parts, I thought maybe I could use the clutch

It's an old junk bike that I already have way too much money in... it's fun to ride when I can get it running, but I don't really want to spend much on it.

This is correct if you are talking about a TRX250R.
The were only made from 86-89.

Now that I read back over it, I bet it is a 250X. If it is, then a 91's clutch assembly should fit it.

the sales closed... I didn't get it... ah well
I don't remember if it's an r or and X, the bike is hanging from the ceiling in my Dad's basement, so I'm not gonna go look right now either.
I guess it doesn't really matter, the auctions closed already

Is yours 2 stroke or 4 stroke? Also...

IT IS HANGING FROM THE CEILING???

Somebody has a 4wheeler hanging from the ceiling? Around here we park them in the garage or something!!!!
