CT racing 310r vs. 450r ?
Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum. I know its probably been discussed before and might seem like old news to most of you but I have to know. I am thinking of a CT racing 310 complete power package for my 86 250r. Will I be able to beat a nearly stock (just piped w/ air filter) 450r in a drag race? (apprx. 1/5 mile) Anyone know the hp or torque ratings on a 310 CT-powered R? Any input from you guys would be great. Thanks.
P.S. I am also considering the esr 310 kit as well, its just that the ct kit is a little lighter on the wallet.

If others read this and respond then most will have the same opinion as I do. Buy the 310 ESR kit and go with the TRX-9 porting if you do a lot of riding mostly, and go with the TRX-11 porting if you do a lot of racing. If you have it tuned in right then the 450's with just a pipe won't hang. I am not a fan of CT's porting and it's hard to beat ESR's service and reliability.

Looks like your still into old school quads like me. Ok one of my buddies has a 250r and a couple of them have 06 450Rs and one is pipe and jetted. it think what was in the 250r at the time was a 266 big bore kit. with cool head and hinson clutch system and ported and polished. but the 450r could hang just for about first 3 gears and then the 250r would just leave him. LOL then the same day the 250r went boom. so were waiting on the new 270BB kit and sleeve to come in. so the old 250Rs will still turn heads
