Default No Sled - Hoopty ATV

Today I was riding with about 6" of new snow on the ground. Now all the new sleds are zipping past at 3 times my speed. Loud and proud, ultra white headlights and that nice 2-stroke bouquet. Sledders sure know how to dress. They pimpin'

My wheeler looks so sad. Still muddy against the white snow. 329 cc. Drab green. I bet a sled with only 13 hoursepower like my Rancher has wouldn't hardly move and I don't think there was ever an olive green snowmachine.

Soon the snow will be too deep. I'm done whining.

If you live in an are with alot of annual snowfall, a sled is truely the way to go. Its alot different to ride, differnt to get used to (it took me 1 full season) but once you do you'll never want to ride a quad in the snow again.

if you think a quad sucks in the snow, you should try a dirtbike with a very bald rear tire.
It will go through but spins the whole time:-) fun though

frosty lemon do you have a 400ex? how does it go in the snow? how much snow will it go through?
Do the new razers make a big difference?
we have some ice here and on the YZ its really bad ,it would be really easy to drop it.
Can do good donuts on the thin snow though

Calum

yea i have a 400ex it can go through about 5 inches of snow pretty easy but if the show is deaper than 5 inches and fluffy it can go through a little more in the packing snow you have to watch out for the skid plate getting lifted up. the razers do help alot because the will kinda dig in to the dirt under neath the the snow

I wouldent trade my quad for and snowmobile cuz where i stand snowmobiles are only good a quarter of the year if that
