I read that spraying stp's son of a gun plastic cleaner on your plastic and leaving it on makes it easier to clean the mud off it later. Is this true? I talking about the armor all like product not stp's tire cleaner. Or should I use the tire cleaner on the plastic???!?!?!

Thanks

I have never tried Son of a Gun, but I always use some kind of tire spray/foam stuff all over the plastic ( NOT THE SEAT!! ) after I give it a bath. It DOES work, but only for 1 "mud day", you have to do it again after the next bath.

I always use STP's Son of a Gun and it does wonders on making it sparkle on a atv. I think that BIGOR told you the rest you need to know.

Not so much for the "mud bath" like you said. But I use it on my 400EX and it brings an UNBELIEVABLE shine on it when Im done.

I cant say that it makes it any easier to clean. I have tried many times, and I still have to scrub to get my mud off.

I don't know of any product that makes the mud come off easy!

I use STP son of a gun & it sure does make that plastic shine.

Great stuff.

The tire foam probably works as well as STP - Still havent tried it. However, it doesnt make it easier(or harder) to clean- the mud doesnt stick to it unless you bury the ATV. Kinda like PAM on a skillet!

I always use the tire foam from STP and I like the way it looks when I'm done. It does a very good job, just like other on here have said.

I had a friend tell me once that putting Rain-X on the plastic would help keep the mud from sticking to it, but I never tried it. Doesn't seem like it would add much shine to a quad, but I could see how it would keep mud from sticking to it.
