i had a similar experience earlier this spring (see my signature at the bottom?) I rolled my 2004 rancher down a 30 ft mound of black asphalt that was hardened (I thought it was black dirt, it was in a gravel pit) It rolled over the top of me sideways, and i was pretty much at the top. It landed right side up, but since it was asphalt, everything got scratched to crap. (Luckily, scratches were all I had- always wear a helmet!!)
Anyways, my bars were bent too. I would try a new handlebar, They get really weak once you bend them once and it seems like they want to bend easier again in the same spot. You may have also bent the steering neck in the frame, that would be a condition of driving it as it is, because you'd need a new frame in that case. I hope that it's just the bars though, and they never seem to be right once you try to bend them back. I tried with mine, but everything else looked like crap so I decided to claim it on insurance.
