I have a 2005 Rubicon and want to get a winch. Anyone used, have or heard about them? Dont reply with things like buy a warn, get a warn and spend more $$$ and it will last, and all of that crud. Just tell me what you know about the VENOM's and nothing more!

 

I have one on my new Foreman and it works fine. Can't beat $120 with bracket roller failead and everything you need in my opinion. It also has metal gears unlike the Warn 2500.

 

I see.....have you ever had any problems with the cable not winding correctly and getting all fouled up? And have you ever had to stop about half way to let the winch cool down?

The few times I used it when I was stuck I had to pull on a angle so it would wind on one side but other than that it seems to work well with my plow and it got me out when I was stuck. I haven't had it heat up yet but I haven't had to pull very far either.

 

I would use it with a plow too. Do you have the small little handlebar mount switch or the big huge turn thing?

 

my brother inlaw has had his on for 4 months know no problems. he got the 3,000 lb model for his magnum 500. has pulled me out an some decent size stumps. all thumps up at this point
