if this is your first quad you dont need anything that fast. but i would say any of the 450s or the 700r but i wouldnt buy a yamaha. if you have the money and you can find one a quadzilla would be the best thing to get. but like i said for a first quad these are all too much machine for any beginer!

i ain't no beginner. I got KX 250, but have ridden bikes faster than the quadracer. I just wanted to know which ones could blow it away, cuz i want the power of my dirtbike, but on four wheels. that way i won't have to mix gas. so i'm basically looking for a four stroke.

Dirt bikes are faster than quads!! They are lighter and so you have a better power to weight ratio.
Since you are looking to beat a 250 Quadracer any of the current 450's and a good rider should do the trick, though it won't be by much.

its kind of hard to find something that will blow it away since manufacturers have a mutual agreement not to make any production quad capable of anything over mid 70's. this came about after people getting killed on zillas doing 85+mph. and i would assume a quadracer with a pipe and tuning is capable of atleast 70mph.

what about a banshee? i heard those are pretty fast, but they look like they don't got all that much wheel travel for susupension. is there anyway i can make it sit up higher?

The banshee suspension is its weakest attribute. Nothing can make it comparable with the new 450s on the market.
The power is there... dune riders love banshees... but the handling is not the best.
And, as I am sure you know, it is a two stroke.
