Default Rancher Facelift ;)

Has anyone looked into updating the headlights and grill of their 01 to 04 Rancher to look like an 05? I could use better headlights and my front grill is a bit homely lookin' .

What parts and how much money? Are there other areas of the wheeler that changes with the model-year update?

My dealer is selling 2005's for $4000. Then it's just a matter of how much yours sells for...... Maybe that's not the answer you wanted......LOL! J/P

umm, the new body style came in 2004, not in 2005. the 2005 looks identical to the 2004, just wanted to point that out.....

anyways, i think it could be done but the wiring is what i would worry about. Some of the light sockets might have different connectors but it's hard to say, i havent actually looked at one. It would be nice if somebody has tried this that could help out?

There is one big plus on the older ES that the new body styles don't have - A Nice Rack!

I have a 2005 and can attest that it's a great machine although the racks are cheap and hollow, that includes both front and rear racks.

They bends easily!

The 2001-2003 are solid tubes.

Did they save weight by doing that?

DWPALMER....what jetting mods did you make with your air filter and pipe? About what altitude are you? Curious to see what other Rancher guys are doing.

Thanks

DWPALMER, did you do that Rancher yourself? Do you have a list of mods? I was curious when I saw the aftermarket steering stem, wondering what it was designed to fit. The is a sweet Rancher, and from the standings in GNCC held it's own against alot bigger machines in the class!

What exactly is a "solid tube" .... sounds like an oxymoron to me? Iv'e got an 03' rancher and it's rack is made from tubing which is not solid and is hollow, hence the name "Tube". Roll-em over down a hill a few times and they'll bend, but they're pretty easy to bend back with a 2x4
