ok i have a 250x the same thing as a 300ex incase u didnt know... i was wanting to extend the swing arm like +3.. is there another swing arm off like a raptor or something that would fit im not nessacarily saying raptor more like anything thats longer or a 250r anything!! please help i really dont wanna spend the $ on a new extended swing arm for my bike so if u could help that would be great! THANKS!

 

If i was you, Id try to ride a bike with an extension like +3 or +4. Its weird stuff. Specifically for dragging in my opinion. Suspension geometry changes and its all wierd and cushy. Donno about swapping arms/fits, just wondering if you knew what it felt like.

 

do u race tracks? some people say the 250x/300ex is too short for good launches but mine flies pretty level. ....ever since glued that kite to the astoundingly protrusive headlight. I knew honda had that there for a reason.

 

well yes i race track and no i can never get a good launch off a big jump thats why i was wondering if it would help me! b/c the 400ex flyes good and it would be the same as the 400 ( thats what i measured anyways.. im gonna go with a +3 if i can find one..

 

The launch problem is exactly what i heard people whining about. You have aftermarket shocks right? And yes, people said that either the 2 or the 3 additional length arm will give you a wheelbase within 1/2" of the 400 if thats what you want. If you really didnt want to deal with the swingarm, suspension adjustments will fix most launch probs. (i.e. damp rate, spring constant, etc.) I dont know much about that, alll i know is tightening up my fronts kept mine from nosing down in the air.
