Has anybody read the new test of the 06 450r in dirtwheels??? I read it the other day and all i have to say is what does honda have to do to impress them?? the 04 and 05 they say dont hit hard enough and now they say the 06 hits too hard and honda should have offered the 05 motor for the trails because it doesnt hit as hard. I have come to conclusion that i really beleive honda isnt getting on there knees and sucking like the other brands. I mean honestly they never say anything positive about honda in there any more. I think yamaha does by far the most sucking!!! what do you guys feel about dirt wheels. By the way i have an 05 4 diddy r and it kicks sum serious **** and i would never own another quad.

I have a 06 and it hits smoother than the yfz's that I have ridden and its just as fast as a yfz with the same up grades

I like to read Dirtwheels, but never take in what they say about machine's. If you notice, they contradict themselves and awful lot and also like to take credit for the machines we have today.

Maybe they expect Honda to do to much. Dirtwheels is a magazine so they are going to take money for advertizing. I could see some of the people that reviewed the quads could be biased towards a certain brand, but that is something uncontrolable. Going so far as to say that a certain company sucks off more then another is going a little to far in my book. The 450 is a great quad for many people and many circumstances, but not everyone likes it as much as you.

Well just look at how many trx's are winning or in the top ten of every type of racing for a 450 and then look at how many yfz's are in the top 10 This is what I did for the last year before I bought my 06 TRX and that was based of what I saw there is more trx's winning or in the top 10 than yfz's or ltz's So the #'s speak for there selves

I don't think you can base what a stock 450R will do off of what you see in the MX standings. Those machines aren't even remotely close to the one that came off the showroom floor.

Does anyone really wonder why Honda gets picked on in DW? Maybe it's got something to do with the 4 full pages of Yamaha ads in each issue.

I dunno, I think that the advertising from Yamaha just goes in the pockets of the owners of DW. The test riders are not getting their pockets lined by yamaha.

I dunno MD, I read and go to a few different dirtbike sites and magazines. And what is being advertised is usually what does well in their shoot outs.

Example, dirtrider has a bunch of Kawi adds, and they win a lot of shootouts. And MXA has a bunch of Yammi adds, and they win a lot of shootouts. Etc, etc. So I'd assume most quad Mags are the same way.

All that I'am saying is that the people that test ride and write the reviews are not being paid by a said manufacturer, IE: Yamaha in DW. They probably have their own biased opinon based on their expeirences in the past, but so do most people. I dont believe that they are being paid to say that a certain brand is better. As much as it pisses people off to see their quad under-rated in a magazine, it should not matter as long as that person is happy with what they ride. Thats all that really matters in the end.
