hey

i was thinking about getting a used 2000 400ex... how do you guys think they are?

are the year 2000 ones good?
any known problems with them?

I have an 00 that I bought in late 99........that's going on 7 years now! I couldn't even guess how many hours this thing has on it, but the total has to be huge. I just replaced the rear bearings and axle, and that is the first thing major that I have done to it in all these years. (And, the bearings thing is partly my fault. I got into a desert flash flood, and the bike spent a lot of time in water with very fine silt. Should have inspected things right afterward and didn't, otherwise I could have saved the axle!)

 

i have a 01 400ex. I love mine. a 2000 will not be much different prob the same thing as a 01. Just make sure you dont get ripped off.

 

i have an 03 and it's great i have never hade to change anything out of nasecity and i think you kan find a 2000 for about $2100 depending on if it hase anything don to it and most of them do so i have to say $2300-$3000 depending on mods and seller
