I have a 93 300ex. Runs great , rides great,
The left engine case is cracked . The lower rear motor mount area has a crack that goes from the bottom of the case (next to the case bolt )up around the motor mount boss of the engine case , and across the back to the case half ( which is above the motor mount .What caused this I don;t know. The chain did not break either to cause this.
Other than this I think it is a great atv.

Well ,sometimes I ride very hard.I live in the mountains of East TN. I was jumping it , getting around 3-6 ft of air.The only thing I can figure is I landed hard one time on the right rear wheel.I am 6ft 215lbs.think that did it in. I have the motor out now and am in the process of repairing it. I have found no cracks in the frame.
I hope to have it back in by this weekend.
GO RIDIN'

The only problems I have ever had with my 97 is the shcok broke.(down at the bottom where it mounts to the A-arm)And the plastic cracks o easily. But to tell the truth I would rather play on it than my race 250r.They are great machine's.The stock tires suck!!!!!I put some 20/11/9 6 ply razr's on ITP .190's on mine. They are awesome tires and really help performance.I did have to replace the rear brake pads. I used a micrometer to measure the thickness and it was fine.I replaced them with premier brake pads.

And oh yeah the plastic on the handle bars suck to I am going to get some renthals and relocate my key and put my 86 trx250r's stock headlight on.

On what wires (where) would you put the silicon, because I have the same problem with my 300ex in water. It stalls frequintly in deep stuff.

I have had some of these problems also. The reason that everyone doesn't have these problems is because the way that they ride. I'm not going to say anything else though.

I have jumped 10 foot off the ground and not hurt it.I did hit the caliper up against the muffler and bent it before.

the only problem with mine i have had is the bearings...i didnt get em fixed quick enough about 2 wks and had to get a new axle carrier too! i ride VERY hard just about every day with it too so i am very pleased with it. to the jump question...i have cleared 35-40ft table tops w/ no problem and i shoot up this wall and get about 10-15 ft of air. the only thing is i bottom out occasionally but everything will bottom out once in a while!
