Hey, Im highly considering a curtis sparks exhaust rather than a fmf exhaust becasue if Im going to spend money I want to buy something thats top quality. Anyways, if I get the x-4 for my 250x, will I have to jet my carb or no? The reason I ask this is that there are no jet kits for my quad so I would have to buy a pre jetted carb which is pricey.

250x and 300ex parts are interchangeable i think...so you could probly get jets for a 300ex and yeah you would have to rejet the carb most likely

What brand of carb is on your 250X? You more than likely can get jets at your local Honda dealer.

 

its whatever the stock carb is, Ill probably do that then.

 

It's probably a Kehin or Mikuni, Easy to get jets for either of those. Go to the Curtis Sparks web site and they may have jetting suggestions.

 

all 300ex parts fit the 250x there basicaly the same quad just the 300ex has a slightly larger piston and electric start my friend has a 300ex exhaust on his 250x right now go to rockymountainatv.com and they wil have a jet kit for ur 250x

 

kehin carb. jetting will be a tad different (than a 300) because its a smaller displacement. for example, the stock 300 main is a 122, so you'd prolly run like a 120 or somthing. ask the stealer. they know stuff like that.
