Is anyone aware of an iridium spark plug for use in a 1990 300? Is there a source for them? Our local dealer seems unable to help with this. My son wants to try one in his machine........Tass

Yep, they make one. The ngk number is DPR8EIX-9,
I would think that denniskirk or rockymountainatv or bikebandit should have it. If not, sparkplugs.com does,
Denso number is IX24B

Its a pretty standard plug for an iridium, try one of your local auto shops

These guys always have everything! I often found that my 300 prefered a hotter plug in winter.

Thanks guys, I am on the search and now have some places to look. Sparkplugs.com shows them but it seems the pricing comes with multiple purchases. I have e-mails in to the other firms also and I am waiting for reply. Had I not already put new plugs in our Rubicons Sparkplugs.com would be perfect. If the other sources do not work I will purchase there anyway cause "if you want it, price don't matter". Thanks again...Tass

Had a conversation with Outlaw Motor Sports in Enterprise Oregon last week, seems that the standard warm weather plug for the Rubicon (IJR7A9) is the proper iridium plug for the 300 also.
We installed one Saturday and went snowriding. We went through drifts up to 2 feet deep and through wet snow 12 to 14 inches deep and had no problems with the Rubicons and when Mike decided he wanted to break trail we found the new iridium plug gave him the torque at low end he had been missing with the standard plug. He did just fine till he high centered and his tires had no contact with the ground. It sure worked for us....................Tass

Subjectively, I would say the Irridium plug gives me a little more snap off the bottom. I run them in everything, except the 400EX, which has no plug speced for it (don't know why???).
