Default New to the Honda seen....

I'm looking for a quad for my wife. I've narrowed it down to the 400EX or a 400Z. Right now I'm liking the EX better. We found a real nice 02' for sale that has had a lot of things done to it. The guy took it all apart and powder coated the frame purple, piped it, K&N air filter with the outerwear, Tag bars, SS brake lines, Hauler paddle tires (rear), Sand Star front tires, white mair (sp) plastic, gripper seat cover, DID chain, raditor scoops and more that I know I'm forgetting. My wife keeps going back to this one.... My question is; Is there anything that I need to look for? I know the basic stuff, I was just wondering if there is a common place of weakness that I need to look for. The quad it's self looks real clean. Thanks for a newbie question........... The axle bearings wear out, so check those. Those are minimal, though, as long as the carrier is good. We have 2 400ex's. They both have cracks in the upper engine mounts, under the fuel tank. That is the only thing I have found, since getting them 5 years ago.
