Default worth getting full exhaust?

I have a 2004 400ex, and I've been looking to upgrade the exhaust (along with the jet, airbox, etc.). I've been looking at HMF at the moment, and seem to get good reviews.

Now, my question is it really worth it to get a full exhaust or would a slip-on suffice?

I'm trying to get bang for the buck, and a full exhaust seems to be the best choice, but are much more costly than a slip-on.

Any opinions?

The full system is more expensive for a reason

I went from a DrD slip on to Full System Pulsecharge, and holy crap what a difference,,I could never have a slip on again,,,Its kinda like having DSL and then going back to dail up ,, lol

Stock header is fine for a stock engine with just a pipe mod air filter...friends got the eseries on his with stock header and white bro filter with modified airbox...another friend has a full fmf system on his...think the powerbomb header along with powercore 4 maybe but anyhow the e series outperforms the other ex from start to finnish....could be rider could not be but if you would gain like a big noticable amount why wouldnt honda make a better header due to the fact they cant keep up with the z400....instead of paying the extra money ide just buy a slipon untill you do other mods like a carb, port work etc.

Great advice they do alot of testing and spend millions testing there components also when if you do figure out what kind of riding you do then select the pipe porting and air box to match your style of rideing
