Default honda 250r

ok there is a honda 250r 1986 that my friends brother wants to sell me but i dont no if i want it he selling it for 2300 but it needs pretty much a whole new clutch in it the one in it skips alot and i worried that i will be working on it more tha riding it but i was just wondering thanks

Do you mean the clutch is slipping? Clutches don't skip, gears do. A slipping clutch is when the RPMs increase way faster than the vehicle speed when applying throttle. If the tranny is skipping then your looking at a complete engine teardown. Whats the condition of the rest of the machine? Is it clean or ratty? Is it mostly stock or heavily modified? If your worried about what your getting into, a machine that is beat to death or has a lot of engine mods that make it unreliable may give you more trouble than what your looking for. $2300 may be an ok price, but it all depends on a few factors.

ok yes the clucth is slipping and it is in pretty bad shape but it runs good and is very fast is not bored out i think if i were get it i would take it all apart and replace all the parts that are broke or damaged needs new rims tires and new nerfbars
