hi my son is 15 weighs about 155 and loves to ride atvs and he has rode mostly 4x4s but he wants a quad racing what ever and i like the 2006 250ex it looks like a good atv we mostly go on trails no jumps or racing was wondering if this atv would work for him.

 

Yeah the 250ex is allright but if you I wound go ahead and get the 300ex. I got my first racing quad when I was 12. I got a 400ex. Whitch I had been riding my causins 400ex for a year before I got mine.

 

yeah but we wont need speed we will just be trail riding or is the 300ex better at anything

 

If he is 15 and 155lb then don't get a 250EX, because if he doesn't outgrow it physically then he will get bored of the power soon. If you get the 300 then you or him can do more upgrades to it inorder to fit his needs. Even an 06 400ex would be a great trail quad, because of the updates and it has tons of aftermarket things you can do to it if you want more power in the future...
