Did you bleed your brake lines? If you didnt you probablly have air in your brake lines.Or if you didnt use the right kind of brake fluid it wont have enough pressure to work the piston. Also check all of the seals for leaks.

I would go check to see if you have any fluid. If you dont, bleed the lines again and fill it up. If you do have some in it just fill it up and try bleeding them untill you get good pressure.

My friend has a White Brothers pipe on his, its not extremely loud but its still pretty loud. But his pipe puts out good power it says it puts out between 3-7 HP. Thats pretty good for a pipe.

Im not sure whether you could have messed it up or not. Does the brake pedel have any pessure when you push it down? If it does and the piston still isnt working you might have. If you dont have any pressure you might want to check your brake lines. If you did happen to mess up the brake caliper I think there only about 40 bucks off of ebay.

What do you mean when you say they don't work? Is the pedal soft, are the brakes dragging? If they are dragging, did you loosen the parking brake adjusting bolt? You really can't mess up the brake system by pushing the piston back into the caliper. If you didn't clean off the piston before pushing it in, you could possibly damage the seals. They could leak or not let the piston return when letting off the pedal, but either way could easily be fixed by diassembling the caliper and replacing the seals. No need to buy a caliper from ebay.

This makes no sense at all. Not enough pressure to work the piston? You cannot compress a fluid...so regardless of which type of fluid he puts in there it would not matter the first time he hit the pedal. The different numbers on brake fluid represent the boiling point of fluid and whether or not they absorb water not the amount of pressure they can take....

How have you tried bleading it? Did you try using something like a vacuum pump or just pump the pedal and crack the bleader ? I have had great luck with a vacuum pump I bought at sears for $50. It really is handy to be able to blead the brakes by yourself and works really nice on stubborn clutches too. There are also "speed bleaders" out there that I here good things about.

Good luck
