CR125 to a 400ex

I have a cr125 and my friend just got a 01 yellow 400ex about 2 and a half weeks ago.He let me ride it and i love it(i am buying one after i pay off my bike) but i notice when i stand upon it it feels like the bars are really low,if i put dirtbike bars on it would it make it taller?like cr high bend pro-tapers?has anyone done this to theres?

Tell him to raise the bars. I did it to my Recon - big improvement!

How does the 400 compare to your CR as far as speed and acceleration. Just curious. I don't have a problem with the bars being low but I am 5'6.

For comparasion sake from my experiences on My CR125 i can beat piped 250R's and banshee's with some ease. But once they have have some motor work done it's about even. Compared to the 400EX (a stock one) my CR blows it out of the water. Then again my CR is anything but stock so you have to take that into consideration. The 400EX just needs a boost in over all power. Other then that it's an awesome quad. Thats just my 2 cents. Dave

I can beat a 400ex in a drag anyday.Havent raced a banshee or anything yet.
