What differences are there between the 2004 models of the 250 and 400 and the latest models of 2006?

well the look is obvious and i know the added reverse to the 400's i dont know bout the 250's though

You are asking about the EX models, right? For the 400, it has different plastics, and a redone tranny with reverse.
The 250 also received the new look plastics, and for '06 has the "Sportclutch" basically it is an auto clutch that can be overidden and operated like a full manual clutch. The benefit is that it won't stall if you don't feel like using the clutch to shift and get going. Other than those few things, the quads are basically the same as the '04 models.
