chain on 300ex

Default chain on 300ex

How do i tighten the chain on a 300ex? it's around a 2001 i think

Losen the Allen bolts onthe swing arm, and the other bolt that right below the allen bolts. i believe there is only three total you need to losen (going of memory) once the bolts are lose, just stick an allen wrench in the slots by the sprocket and pull towards you i belive. this should tighten your chain. be sure you retorque the bolts as they will come lose if not tight enough. PM me if ya need more instructions.

thats right except theres only 2 allen bolts one on the left one on the right

Default chain on 300ex

only problem is my right bolt is completely jammed.. my left one was completely out and i still couldent ajust it. i sprayed some WD40 on the bolt but it dident help, any ideas?

Default chain on 300ex

Try using an impact driver on that bolt and i would be getting another bolt for the other side
