Hey guys,
Just bought a brand new 450R with eletric start. I have run about 8 gals of gas through it. The last time I was out riding it would stall about every 2 out of 10 times when I would go to give it some gas. It is not while I am in gear or a clutch problem. It will do it even in neutral but only when you go to snap the throttle. I plan on taking it back to the dealer but just want to get some feedback from you guys first. Has anyone else had this problem with their 450R and if so what did you/dealer do to correct the problem?

Yes, I had that probelm when i first got mine as well. I took it back to the dealer and all they said was to adjust the Idle speed. It has not stalled out once when it gets warm like it used to. just make the quad idle a little bit faster and you should be okay. hope this helps

Its there all right but good luck adjusting it. Honda used a screw with a special head that requires a special tool to turn it. You can turn it without the tool but the area is very tight and you will not get anything else in there. From what I can tell, you will have to loosen the carb and turn it enough for better access to the screw. Or just remove the carb altogether. The tool comes in the HRC kit but I adjusted the screw according to the direction in the kit while the carb was in my hands. Even with the tool it looks like a chore to adjust without removing anything.
Maybe somebody has a better idea that they can post.
