400ex or 250r

i am getting ready to buy a quad in about 6 months and i cant decide either on a new 400ex or a 250r i do alot of trail riding and mostly puting around but i love a 2 stroke and when i waht to go fast i really what to go fast i have about the amount of money for a 250r but really liek the looks of a ex what do u guys think?

well the 400ex is a great all around quad, awesoom on the track and trail and handlings great. the 250r is more of a track quad, but heard is pretty good on trails. you could get a 250r for alot cheaper than a 400ex if you look around. but if your gonna be trail riding most of the time. i would suggest a 400ex.

I bought my 86 completly stock.It ran awesome.Reliable as heck and faster than my cousin's 400ex.It yhad a 14 year old piston in it to.I say get the 400ex though.On trails I have a hard time keeping mine "In the pipe".Like 2 days ago I was going down a small trail to my big double and I couldn't get the bike to rev in time to take off.After I did get it to I ended up hurting my self so I guess it was better.I say go for the 400ex it is a great bike all around.
