Those pictures really don't do them justice, and they have over 2 years of hard riding on them in those pics. They handled the mud really well, the big side lugs really helped it. And you can flip them to reverse the tread. The way they are set up in that pic is for hard surfaces, if you put them backwards they work even better for mud and sand. The only times I ever got stuck in mud was when I was high-centered on the rear skid plate, and the tires weren't even touching the ground. This tread pattern may not be as purpose-built for mud riding as mudlites, but the sur-tracs are better for all-around riding and are light and sporty. It's amazing how easy it was to do donuts and go sliding around the corners. I even had my recon on MX tracks a few times before I sold it, and it handled really well.

yeah the only time i have gotten stuck in the mud is when i was high centered was on a tree, and my freind on a artic cat 400 had to push me over it and then he got stuck on it LOL
