I just got my son a 04 Recon ES. Does anybody offer a lift kit for it, if so where?

Thanks

It doesn't say that it's for a 2000, all recons have the same front suspension so it'll work on all years.

Just curious as to why you would want to lift a 2wd recon?

Most people lift to fit bigger tires, but with a recon I can't see wanting much bigger tires in any kind of aggressive tread, theres just not enough power there to pull a tall tire.

I agree SFA!!! That would be just as silly as putting bigger tires and a lift kit on a toyota pickup!!!

I am not sure if this is an insult or something? But I agree if my truck was 2wd that would be silly. Also with a truck you have the luxury to go with a lower gear set in the axles to compensate for larger tires unlike a shaft driven ATV. I also have a different gearset in my transfer case lowering it from 2.28:1 to 4.7:1 this makes all the difference in the world.

My friend has 25" tires all around on his recon. He's only ~120 pounds, though, so it doesn't make such a difference if I was on there(like 220).

Default Recon lift?

I own a Recon and built my own lift for it. The unit is used as a pit bike for my Legends Car that I race on dirt tracks. The ATV is also used in the winter to push snow in my front driveway. On a 2wd with a snow plow, ground clearance is an issue when backing away from the snow pile where the snow is stacked. I had installed chains on the rear tires and hung a box off the rear axle with 100 pounds of weight for traction. The plow push tubes would drag me down when backing up. The lift kit cured the problem. After pushing snow for 2 years with it, I know it will handle bigger tires, which are a planned bolt on in the near future. I feel you will like the lift kit.
