mud lite or sur trak

Check out the mud lite XTR's before you buy the regular mud lite's I have heard the XTR's are much better on the trails with almost the same mud slinging power. It is the perfect combination between trail and mud tires, that is what I am going to buy.

22x11x9 sur traks all the way! They're perfect for the Recon. It's not as all-out aggressive as the mudlite, but it's lighter, sportier, and I never got mine stuck and I went through some stuff I probably shouldn't have tried, it always pulled through.

How about tread life? I like the sur-traks because there cheap but the mud lites look cool also but are a little more expensive and i only have mud thats about 2 inches deep and i want some thing that will clean out good because i ride moslty on hills.I dont think even with a lift kit,k and n air filter, jet kit and exhaust would i be able to push 26inch mud tires and plus i would have to buy bigger rims to make the tire fit and thats would make the tires even heavier!

I have mudlites and I think they wear pretty fast. They do hook up very well though. I used to have surtraks on my old Scrambler and they wore quite well. I had a 400 and swaped them to a 500 when I traded in because they were still like new.

mud lights do wear bad especially on black top, i ride just a little to get from here to there. i also have 2x4 and the best tires i have found are the mud bugs, there good in mud and hills, and they wear great. i even think they are cheaper. mud lights are not a bad mud tire just wore out too quick for me.

how much do mud bugs cost i have seen what thye look like they are like tractor treads arnt they and would my recon be able to pull the tire i am only puting tires on the back because its a 2 wheel drive quad

i too only have a two wheel drive and they are just on the back and i love them.keep trail tires on the front its smoother and it doesnt really matter as long as they have some tread to turn with. the bugs cost me 60$(each) put on and everything at a local tire store.these are good tires i promise. there light and clean great, as long as you dont bottom out youll be alright. even then if you jump around enough youll come out. they dont sacrifice anthing on hill either.
