I have heard that if u put the cam from a 250 x in a 300ex u will gain a little power. Has anyone else heard of this?

I've heard the 250X cam is a little hotter grind, good for a little more power than a stock 300ex cam.

The 250x and 300ex is the same motor. It was just converted from a kick start to an electric start. That means the parts in the motor is the same.

WRONG.

They are not simply just kick vs electric. The cam is different and also the stroke is different and some other stuff I believe so the parts "is" not the same.

The cam is a little better but if I was going to do the work of changing out a cam I would go with something more aggressive then a stock 250X cam.
