I am having problems understanding what is causing this problem. The kickstarter slips most of the time without engaging the engine. I have read on the board of this issue and I get the impression its the clutch with the weight sets on it or the one-way clutch (im not sure i even know the difference though). I guess im to slow to really understand what part is failing in this setup.
As I do not really kick start it that often I think i can live with this as is if it will not cause any other problems. My concern is does the electric start use the same clutch and is it slipping as well and I just dont notice it. (It doesnt spin freely but does make a little clunk noise when the engine is turned off)
If anyone has a working understanding on this process a little help would be apreciated. I have inspected it as best i can and nothing looks broken or out of place.

The sprag clutch (one-way clutch) on the centrifigal clutch is bad. It won't hurt anything to keep riding your machine. The starter motor uses a different sprag clutch so it won't be affected. You won't be able to tell if a sprag clutch is bad by looking at it, just by the way its performing.
