Default 400ex 2002

hi i just bought an 2002 400ex stock for 2400 dollers. i am picking it up in a week from teh guy. is there anything i should do when i go and see teh quad? should i service it right away,or should i not service it at all? i want to keep this quad in very good running condition and have no problems because i am on a budget and cannot keep going to service this quad, so i need to have problems as low as possible(also thats why i bought a honda).

thanks

I'd change the oil and filter, check the plug/air filter/all bushings. Maybe run over all the electrical connections to make sure they're tight. Just the basics.

Yes, definately service the quad when you get it that way you know it is ready to go. 400ex's are pretty much bullet proof, just change the oil every once in a while and it'll be fine.

As far as snow, it's a sport quad so it isn't going to do great in deep snow. But it will be fine in a couple inches.
