250ex reloacating the key
Hey Bam, we bought the Trial Tech handle bar kit for the 450R. We got it without the logo. The chrome mount looks sharpe and includes a small for the key and one indicator light. We drilled another hole in the plastic key mount so that the two lights symetrical above the key. It looks great.
You have to grind that little wire cable guide off, loosen your top mount for the brake line, and mount your choke in the front plastic.
For the choke mount drilled a hole then used a carpet knife to split the plastic to be able slide the choke mount thru the plastic. The plastic is real thick in the front part of the steering stem opening so the choke is very sturdy.
By doing these these mods I was able to use the Trial Tech Hi-bend bars.
Another cool aspect to this that you can the add the Trial Tech light mount ($15.00) to the trick handlebar mount then you can add a pair of the Trial Tech HID lights and have a great little night rider.
Or just drill the holes in the front plastic notch the key mount with a file, follow the key cable back and unplug it and run back through the hole in the plastic and drill the indicator holes for the light using the ugly black piece as a size guide.
