Will K&N Air Filter Oil work on a stock foam filter for my Honda Rancher. This Brand is all I can find. Thanks.

 

No, use motor oil, if you cant find foam ai filter oil.

 

I wouldn't. K&N oil is very light, and will "drain down". So will motor oil.

Use one of the thick, tacky oils like Maxima FFT.

 

He can't find it, though. Motor oil will stick long after k&n oil, therefore it would be better.

 

i would not use motor oil either, it might make the glue for the filter come apart. You'll have to look around for foam filter oil.

I use the UNI filter oil on my stock filter it sticks to the filter really well, better than the AMSOIL high-tack oil. I also found out that UNI makes the stock foam Honda filter, just to give everybody a heads up.

 

Ive been using BellRay foam filter oil on my stock vinson filter and KQ with uni filter. Good stuff!
