KM DAD did you ever go get that issue of atv action that did a nice 5 page review of the rubicon. Like I mentioned to you in april.... (may issue)
as for the sticky shifter? Look behind the black plastic and get something like lithium grease in a spray can or some graphite in a spray can and spray the linkage... it works wonders keeping that thing lubed up.... WD 40 not so much of a lube but will work...

Now, with regards to you TIC. I have asked a lot of people here about Rubicons and I have been getting good feedback, most of which have been very helpful and useful. I find that the more people talk about a product they own, the more of a accurate assessment you will get of that product. However, if i was to ask a 152 people about a product, I don't see how that's any of your concern. Do you keep tabs on how many people I talk to about the Rubicon? If someone wants to put their two cents in about the ATV that I'm thinking about buying I'm sure going to read it. Once again, I fail to see how that is any of your business.
Now, for what it's worth, I did read that artical in the ATV action Mag. It had some useful information and I think that they feel that it is a good ATV with above average reliability, but I still ask question to other owner to get their long term take on the machine and to see if they have any addtional information on a unit that will cost me more than $10 000 CDN.
If you feel that information that you gave was ignored, let me tell you it wasn't. You like many other owner help me form my decision, but because I'm not quite ready to buy right now if I think of something else to ask the form, I will. You, as a form reader, have the option of reading ,my or anyone elses question, or not. And if it bugs you that I do still ask, my advice is, don't read. Simple.

Good luck. And I do have to say im sorry, as I was feeling angry towards all your questions as if you were in some way cutting down our choice of ATV..... I realized I have done the exact same thing on this VW beetle I have been wanting to buy for 3 months! I too am a man that tries to cover every corner and I also get people that tell me they are tired of hearing about the car and that I should just go buy it... So once again I am sorry and you are correct, it is good thing to cover all bases.

That brings about another statement. I think that my line of questioning as led you to misunderstand me. I'm asking very critical questions about the Rubicon, because that is the bike that I'm most interested in. I also talked to a dealer today to work out the price on one. I don't think you guys made a bad decision, on the contrary, I think buying a Honda is the wisest ATV decision you can make( please, don't any brand basher jump on that statement. It's just my belief). Everything you said about the power, reliablity and quality I agree with. After talking to as many people as I have about this unit, ensures me that my decision is the right one for me.
So, I will also apology for the statements that I've made that was offensive and i wish you many happy rides on your Honda. Oh, about the VW you talked about. Went it comes to cars, don;t count out Honda. The statement that i made earlier about getting rip off with product purchases. Well it took a Honda civic to set me straight.
good luck.

I have to say that I have had my Rubicon since '02, and have loved it every time out. It's just amazing how smooth and refined this machine is.....I have not had one single problem with it since that time. All I have replaced is the oil thus far. Even the battery is still holding up. I do wish we had a comprable version to the CTE. There are a lot of really good ATV's out there, but in my opinion none come close to the Rubicon.
