Recon engine problems

Recon engine problems
my freind has a 2000 recon 250 and right now i can hear the valves clicking and it revs alot. Also it stalls pretty often if u dont give it gas. It has lost a whole lot of power and he doewsnt change the oil enough. If he continues this wat will happen to his quad, will it just get screwed up or worse.

Every vehicle from atv to motorcycle, lawn mower to tractor or car to truck, requires maintenance or you are going to have problems down the road.
The 250 is not a piece of crap if maintained properly. I'm sure, although I am by no means an expert on this, that there are some atvs that are more "tolerant" to not having proper maintenance done to them. But for long life, regular maintenance service is vital.
Tell the guy to change the oil and adjust the valves as it sure won't hurt it.
