I just went to GT Thunder and they rated the WB E-series over the DMC. They also said the Big Gun did not flow well enough for a worked 400ex. I just wish these 4 stroke pipes gave us enough HP gains as noise gains!

This isn't the first place I've read people talking about how good the DMC exhaust is....does that require the whole system or is a slip-on available?

How many people make pipes for the 400??? ALOT!!!! How many been tested??? By going to the GT Thunder, I think there was about 6 or 7 I think!!! There are several pipes that have not been tested and I definitly believe that those ones not being tested are pretty good and very competitive to the market!! Danyeo is right the WB was the best rated!! PERIOD

If you look at the dynos at GT THUNDER, the DMC pipe, is the same horsepower as the white bros. Also, if you read at the end of the shootout it talks about the hesitation of the 400EX and the only pipe that will fix that is the DMC. I am not bashing the white bros. exhaust, I like it, but it is not for me. If noise is an issue,I e-mailed DMC and they told me that with there spark arrestor on the DMC, the noise is in the 94 decible range, without the spark arrestor 102. I looked at the oregon dunes web site and they rated the the whitebros 100-104 decibles, so you could get the DMC quieter that the whitebros.

DMC now makes a new pipe called the DMC Alien which fits the Raptor. It's got dual exaust and the whole bit.

Going by your exact words" its not for me", is exactly what I'm saying!! You may think its good but its not the best! I have the LRD and I love it but I'm going to tell someone its the best!!! There are alot of pipes out there and to me there is no best. There are several catagories and there is not one pipe that can fill every catagory. Every pipe gives out something different!!

That is the one reason i didn't get the WB, its just too loud, i have seen the DMC on 400ex's and they look great but it's expensive and not as loud. I dont think you will go wrong with either setup.

Since you brought it up DMC also refused to send one of its systems for the shootout. Since I have had alot of dealing with Sparks I think it would be safer to assume that his lack of interest in the shootout was that he wasnt going to send a handmade pipe for free when he has people waiting to payfor it. I am also fairly sure that his ability to make top 4 stroke performance products should not be questioned either.

I also am willing to agree with other posts that there is not an absolute best exhaust. I think that if you look at GT thunders dynos and read about others experiences with the various pipes you can come up with several that are good. I know that for a highly modified motor you need a megaphone exhaust like the Sparks and GT Thunder. If you dont want to have an extremely modified engine than by looking at GT's dynos you might see the DMC or WB as good choices. It has alot to do with how far you want to go. Like I said in my above post I had a X-4 and have updated to the X-6 to accomadate my soon to arrive SParks 440.
