front spacers/widening kits for 250ex
i have been looking into widening my 250ex
and i was just going to get a couple of opinions on what product i should purchase
first off we have the kit that converts the front 6 inches and you can upgrade to either a 450r shock or a 400ex.

and then we have the bolts that widen the front to 5 inches but you cant put 450r or 400ex shocks on it

im not to for sure about those.
they look a little weak....
your opinions would be great,
thanks.

When you mess with stuff like this (especially on the front end), all kinds of problems crop up. Things like the shocks have the wrong leverage, bump steer, etc. I have tried wheel spacers from time to time, and have never left them on for more than a short time.
What I do, is run ITP rims that are wider and/or have a greater offset than stock and wider aftermarket tires, and this gives me something like +2" in front and +3" in back. Any more than that, and you start messing with the handling of the machine.
You will just be pulling them off later, and waste your money.

well right now i have itp xcr's all the way around and then a +3 dura blue spacer ( which hasnt caused and problems yet ) in the back which makes the back 48,
and the front is 39,
so its almost 10 inches different in the fornt and the back,
which makes it want to tip when you make a sharp turn,
so if i can widen the front up even a little bit it would stabilize it more..
right?

ok TheCodeman im on the same position as you right now like just trying to make it look n sound the best as well as stability i would go with the durablue wheel spacers there cheap off rockymountainatvmc.com i wouldnt get the most expensive they have a cheaper one the reason about the whole ebay thing ive been thinking about is and messing with a whole new shock and stuff plus you have to buy it the kit only comes with what you need to do to make one fit you can get the 5' wheel spacers which is pretty close to 6' for much cheaper thats just my opinion and thats probably the cheapest......... but anyways good luck with w/e
